One of the main objectives of the Housing Strategy is the setting up of, a non profit-making company to develop, own and manage social rented housing. This project will deliver the independent and expert advice needed to establish a community based housing organisation for St Helena. The project will consist of an options appraisal setting out the detailed strengths and weaknesses of different approaches, including ‘no change’ followed up with expert legal and financial advice to ensure that whichever option is chosen produces a viable and improved housing service for local people.
